Trees Fall, Take Out Wires in Mansfield
Eversource was reporting sizable power outages.
MANSFIELD, CT — Firefighters and utility crews rushed to Highland Road at lunchtime on Wednesday after trees fell on to some wires, according to Tolland County 911.
The trees fell at about noon on Highland near Stone Ridge Lane, according to the dispatch service. Police closed off the road in the area, according to Tolland County 911.
Eversource Energy was reporting that 7,054 households were without power at the time of the incident.
