TOLLAND, CT β Here are the latest arrests and major incidents recorded in the log book at the state police Troop C barracks:
April 18
MANSFIELD, CT β Renaud O'Bready, 45, of Willington, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and sixth-degree larceny, state police said. The charged are related to the theft of scrap material from a Storrs Road location, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT β Jonathan Dodge, 40, was charged with evading responsibility, driving under the influence, failure to drive in the proper lane, failure to obey a traffic signal and the use of improper high beams after a crash on Merrow Road, state police said. He drove through a traffic light getting off Interstate-84 eastbound, headed north on Merrow Road and eventually struck a car, state police said. He left the scene and was found in the Big Y parking lot, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT β State police are investigating a burglary at the Dunkin' Donuts at 333 River Road. Someone broke into the establishment via a rear delivery door, state police said. The thief stole more than $1,000 in currency and fled the scene in a dark colored four-door sedan that was parked in the drive-through area. The incident took place sometime before 5:09 a.m., state police said. Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity can call state police at 860-896-3200, ext. 8052.
VERNON, CT, β A car rolled over at 6:44 a.m. at the Exit 64-65 off-ramp on Interstate-84, state police said. The car hit a concrete barrier on the right shoulder and flipped over, state police said.
April 21
MANSFIELD, CT β State Police detectives from Eastern District Major Crime Squad are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. at the Mobil gas station located at 9 Stafford Road, state police said. A store clerk said an Hispanic male entered the store, displayed a handgun and attempted to rob the store, state police said. After the store clerk refused to give the suspect any money, and tried to spray him with mace, the suspect fled, state police said. A short time later, someone ,matching the description tried to run the Subway at 361 Boston Post Road, Windham, state police said.
April 22
TOLLAND, CT β Aaron Dernow, 39, of South River Road, Tolland, was charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation for an incident at 12:45 a.m. near the intersection of Route 195 and Rhodes Road, state police said.
MANSFIELD, CT β Christopher Peck, 20, of Ashford Drive, Ashford and Brendan Smith, 21, of Campert Drive, of Campert Drive, Ashford, were both charged with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy for an incident that took place in March on Woodland Road, state police said. The arrest was related to snowblower thefts, state police said.
WILLINGTON, CT β Melissa Knight, 48, of Sanford, Maine, was charged with risk of injury to a minor, third-degree criminal trespass, interfering and breach of peace, state police said. She was allegedly panhandling near rest rooms and then started swearing at staff and customers and allegedly left a 6-year-old in a restaurant while it was happening, state police said.
STORRS, CT β Benjamin Francis, 24, of Newington, was charged with drunken driving at a checkpoint on Route 320 at 9:12 p.m., state police said.
VERNON, CT β Mathew Clark, 24, of Grand Ave., Vernon, was charged with reckless driving, drunken driving, and a seat belt violation after being clocked at 110 mph near Exit 65 on Interstate-84 in a Ford truck, state police said. Halfway through a field sobriety test, Clark claimed he could not continue because he had smoked "weed," state police said.
April 23
TOLLAND, CT β Philip Monahan, 22, of Tankerhoosen Road, Vernon, was charged with driving under the influence, and making a restricted turn after his vehicle slammed into a utility pole on Crystal Lake Road at 3:36 a.m., state police said. He failed a field sobriety test, state police said.
UNION, CT β Elijah Wiggins, 18, of Rau Street, Vernon, was charged with reckless driving after being observed going 103 mph between exits 74 and 73 on the westbound side of Interstate-84, state police said. He was also charged failure to carry a license, state police said.
