The drugs were confiscated after a traffic stop.

DANIELSON, CT — State troopers intercepted a stash of heroin in what law enforcement officials have repeatedly identified as an eastern Connecticut drug hub.
The traffic stop was conducted on a 2000 Mazda Protege at 8:40 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of Reynolds Street and Broad Street, state police said.
The driver, 61-year-old Jose Pedraza, of Danielson, consented to a search and "multiple bags" of heroin were located in the vehicle, state police said. He was charged with possessing narcotics, state police said.
