UConn Closing Campuses Thursday
Expected heavy snow has prompted UConn to close campuses Thursday.

STORRS, CT — Due to the upcoming winter storm forecast for the region, the University of Connecticut will close all of its campuses Thursday, with the exception of UConn Health.
Essential employees will still report to their work sites, including public safety and facilities operations personnel.
Other employees who already are telecommuting due to the COVID-19 pandemic will continue to do so on their regular schedules, and have received guidance on what to do in case of extenuating circumstances such as power outages (see “Winter Weather – Storrs & Regional Campuses Only” at this link).

The on-campus population is already very low because most students moved out last month, and the majority of the work force already is working remotely due to the pandemic.
Updates will be provided on the University’s UConn Alert site at: alert.uconn.edu

Due to the "different nature of its operations" with medical and clinical care, UConn Health decides separately whether to change its operational status due to weather. Any such changes would be posted at this link.
