STORRS, CT β€” A University of Connecticut staff member is making an effort to bring back the school's fruit orchards.

Evan Lentz, an extension educator specializing in commercial fruit crop production, is in the process of reviving UConn's fruit orchards on a 6-acre site at the university's Plant Science Research Farm, school officials said.

Lentz plans to share the crops publicly, officials said.
