UConn Guard Aubrey Griffin To Miss Remainder Of Season

STORRS, CT — University of Connecticut women's basketball graduate forward Aubrey Griffin will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear in her left knee, team officials said Wednesday.

Griffin’s injury occurred in UConn's game at Creighton on Jan. 3.

Griffin will have surgery at UConn Health at a later date, team officials said.

She is the fourth UConn player to sustain a season-ending injury. Azzi Fudd is out with a ACL and meniscus injury and Ayanna Patterson is also out with a knee problem. Jana El Alfy is out with an Achilles injury.

Caroline Ducharme is out indefinitely with neck spasms.
