UConn Hosts Science Salon

THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT IS HOSTING UCONN SCIENCE SALON "YOU'VE GOT TO MOVE IT: FROM EVERYDAY EXERCISE TO ELITE PERFORMANCE"

The University of Connecticut is hosting UConn Science Salon “You’ve Got to Move It: From Everyday Exercise to Elite Performance” on Thursday, June 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Spotlight Theatres on 39 Front Street in Hartford. Cost to attend is $15 and includes one drink ticket and appetizers. Find more information and register here.

The Rio Olympics are drawing near. At this Science Salon, UConn experts look at the science and tech behind elite athletes. The program begins with a high-energy, interactive movement presentation by a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Our expert panel includes: Jaci Van Heest, associate professor of educational psychology and kinesiology, UConn’s Neag School of Education – moderator; Doug Casa, professor of kinesiology and CEO of the Korey Stringer Institute, UConn; Ki Chon, Krenicki Professor of Biomedical Engineering, UConn; and Linda Pescatello, Distinguished Professor of Kinesiology, UConn.
