UPDATED: Mansfield Municipal Offices To Close Early Monday

• Due to the inclement weather, the Town of Mansfield announces the following schedule changes for Town facilities:
• Town Hall: Closing at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015
• Animal Shelter: Opening at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015
• Community Center: Open regular schedule; morning programs cancelled; off-site
• programs cancelled (all day) on Monday, February 2, 2015
• Library: Closing at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015
• Refuse Pick Up: This week’s trash and recycle collection service for Monday through Friday will be one day later. Monday service will be on Tuesday, Tuesday service will be on Wednesday, Wednesday service will be on Thursday, Thursday service will be on Friday and Friday service will be on Saturday. If you did not get collection service last week, you may put out double trash (even if it is outside the can) this week and it will be collected.
• Senior Center: Closed on Monday, February 2, 2015
• Transfer Station: Closed on Monday, February 2, 2015
• Transportation Center: Closing at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015. Riders should check the Peter Pan, UCONN and WRTD schedules for changes.

Closures and delayed openings of municipal facilities and the cancellation/postponement of meetings on Monday, February 2, 2015 are likely. Please check with the facility or related website for updated information.

Mansfield Public Schools are closed Monday, as are the Mansfield Community Center and the Mansfield Discovery Depot, because of the weather.

The University of Connecticut campuses will be closed Monday and all classes cancelled due to the winter storm, according to a notice the school posted Sunday evening.

Only Essential personnel should report to work.

All campuses will operate on normal schedules on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Information for the Storrs campus community:

• Shuttles will operate when safe to do so on Monday, Feb. 2. Visit http://transpo.uconn.edu for more information.
• The Homer Babbidge Library will open at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2.
• For the benefit of essential employees, no-charge parking will be available in the North and South garages from 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1 until 11 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2.
