UConn Officials on July Construction: 'Sorry Folks'
UConn officials have posted a good-natured July guide to navigating through the campus construction.

STORRS, CT — University of Connecticut officials have been trying to maintain a good-natured approach to all that construction on campus and simply said, "Sorry, folks. We feel your pain," in presenting a July update.
Here are some highlights:
- North Eagleville Road is still restricted to one-way traffic
- Parts of Hillside Road and Jim Calhoun Way is still closed to traffic.
- The UConn Bookstore remains open. To reach the bookstore by car, follow signs approaching the campus from points north and south to the South Garage. The area is marked with signs to help pedestrians cross safely and avoid the work zones nearby.
- Hillside Road, between Glenbrook and Gilbert roads, remains closed this month, as crews continue utility work near Jim Calhoun Way for the new Student Recreation Center. Hillside’s closure has temporarily eliminated the most commonly used north-south route through campus, so drivers are being encouraged to keep using Route 195, Bolton Road, or Alumni Drive, depending on their destinations.
