UConn To Open Gampel Pavilion For Tuesday's Championship Game
The Lady Huskies will try to knock off Notre Dame for their third consecutive NCAA championship.

As the UConn Women’s Basketball team plays for its third straight NCAA title Tuesday night in Tampa, students on the Storrs campus will be able to watch the game.
The school will open the Gampel Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. for the game against No. 1-ranked rival Notre Dame, which is scheduled to start at 8:45 p.m. The Huskies earned the berth for the championship game with their 81-58 victory over Maryland on Sunday.
The school will set up a large screen on the court to view the telecast and admission will be free and open to all members of the university community, according to WTIC. The game also can be viewed on ESPN with radio coverage to be available via the UConn Radio Network and the Westwood One Radio Network, according to the university.

The Honda Sports Award is presented annually by the CWSA to the top women athletes in 12 NCAA- sanctioned sports and signifies “the best of the best in collegiate athletics.” The winner of the sport award becomes a finalist for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the prestigious 2015 Honda Cup. The Honda Cup winner will be announced on June 29, during a live telecast from Los Angeles.
The nominees were chosen by a panel of coaches representing the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and the Honda Sports award winner for basketball will be announced next week after voting by administrators from over 1,000 NCAA member schools.
