UConn Police: Man Facing 16 Counts of Voyeurism for Secret Recordings in Law Library Rest Room

He remains in custody, police said.

STORRS/HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man is facing 16 counts of voyeurism while being accused of secretly recording images of women in a rest room at the University of Connecticut Law Library, according to an arrest report.

Yiyan Wang, 30, of Kenyon Street, in Hartford, was arrested on Oct 12, UConn police said. Police began investigating his actions in May, when a woman complained she was using a unisex bathroom and it seemed someone was either taking pictures of videos of her in an adjacent stall, according to an arrest report.

Police traced the complaint to Wang and seized his iPhone and laptop computer, according to an arrest report. It appeared he recorded 15 other females using the rest room between 2013 and 2016, according to an arrest report.
