UConn Rolls out Welcome Mat for Hurley
Dan Hurley was welcomed as UConn's new men's hoop coach on Thursday.

STORRS, CT — The University of Connecticut officially welcomed Dan Hurley as its new men's basketball coach.

Hurley, 45, has been the front runner to take over from the fired Kevin Ollie since his University of Rhode Island team lost in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

In six seasons at the University of Rhode Island, Hurley went 113-82, including 26-8 this season.
UConn has four national titles but went 14-18 in 2017-18, it's second consecutive losing campaign.

Hurley has agreed to a six-year-deal, sources said.
