UConn Student Finds Stolen Headphones on Facebook Offered Up By Neighbor

STORRS, CT — A pair of headphones stolen at a University of Connecticut dorm wound up being posted for sale on social media by a neighbor of the victim, UConn police said.

The incident took place on Sunday, UConn police said. A New London Hall resident reported the headphones stolen and then noticed them for sale on Facebook, UConn police said.

The student also noticed the seller also lived in New London Hall, according to a police report.

Police took the headphones and charged the seller with sixth-degree larceny, according to a police report.

The seller is due in court on Feb. 28, police said.
