UConn Traffic Stop Leads to Foot Chase
The issue at hand was a protective order, police said.

STORRS, CT β A traffic stop turned into a foot chase after University of Connecticut police discovered the driver and passenger were not supposed to be near each other, according to an arrest report.
The traffic stop took place at 8:23 p.m. on March 1, UConn police said. Officers then discovered that Lucius Burrell, 23, of South Road, Bolton, was in the car in violation of a protective order, which was for the driver, according to an arrest report.
Burrell was asked to exit the vehicle, which he did, according to an arrest report.

He then started to run away and a foot chase ensued from Discovery Drive to a wooded area near North Eagleville Road and King Hill Road, according to an arrest report.
Police quickly tracked him down, according to an arrest report.

Burrell was charged with criminal violation of a protective order and interfering, according to an arrest report.
