UConn Trustees Approve Increases for Room, Board, Fees
The increases were approved on Wednesday.

STORRS, CT — The University of Connecticut Board of Trustees on Wednesday approved a series of fee increases, namely a jump of just less than 3 percent for room and board.
One new fee is called the Visa Compliance fee. It is $250 per semester for international students to cover UConn’s costs of administering visa compliance.
The transit fee would jump from $120 to $160 a year, if the state approves its UPass program, designed to give college students a free ride on any Connecticut public transit bus.
