UConn's Auriemma Promoting Voter Registration in PSA
His message was shared Friday by the secretary of the state.

STORRS, CT — University of Conneticut women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma would love a big crowd at next week's "First Night" event to open the 2016-17 season.
He also would like see big crowds at the polling places on Election Day.
Secretary of the state Denise Merrill on Friday shared on Twitter a public service announcement featuring Auriemma.

His message was get out and register to vote.
"Take it from Coach Auriemma - register to vote," Merrill said in the post. "Get in the game Connecticut."

“On or off the court, if you want to win, you have to play," Airiemma says. "Your vote can decide the future of your town, state and country. But to play in this game, you must be registered."
