UConn's Edwards Headed To Canada U23 Training Camp Ahead of GLOBL JAM
Edwards has been a member of Canada Basketball since 2017.

STORRS, CT — University of Connecticut women’s basketball junior Aaliyah Edwards is one of 15 athletes selected to participate in the Canada Basketball U23 Women's National Team training camp in Toronto this month ahead of the inaugural GLOBL JAM tournament.
Edwards has been a member of Canada Basketball since 2017. She was the youngest member of Canada’s Olympic Team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She has won gold at the 2017 U15 National Championships and the 2017 U16 FIBA America Championship.
Training camp is set for June 22 through July 4 at Scotiabank Arena ahead of GLOBL JAM tipping off on July 5.

GLOBL JAM offers a unique development opportunity for targeted players within the Senior Women’s National Team program as they also have their sights on the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022 later this year and further ahead to the Paris 2024 and LA 2028 Olympic Games.
GLOBL JAM is Canada’s International Basketball Showcase. Recognized by FIBA and set to take place in Toronto from July 5-10, GLOBL JAM will shine the international spotlight on the game’s rising stars and feature women’s and men’s teams from around the world competing in an Under-23 tournament at Mattamy Athletic Centre and broadcast in Canada on Sportsnet.

Participating women’s teams include Canada, USA, Belgium and France.
With a round-robin preliminary round format, Canada will face Belgium (July 5, 6:00 PM ET), USA (July 6, 6:00 PM ET) and France (July 7, 6:00 PM ET). All teams will advance to the semifinal round on Saturday, July 9, followed by the Championship games on Sunday, July 10.
