UConn's Jonathan Celebrates A Birthday Wednesday

STORRS, CT — Jonathan XIV, the beloved mascot at the University of Connecticut, turned 9 Wednesday.

A party was on tap for the afternoon in the Student Union and Happy birthday wishes were being plastered all over social media.

Birthday week celebrations included members of Alpha Phi Omega selling key chains with Jonathan's image on them at the Student Union for $5 each. All funds are going toward expenses associated with his care.

Jonathan is also being featured on a new mural at Rentschler Field.

Jonathan XIV too over for for Jonathan XIII, who died in Aug. 2021 at the age of 14.
