Untimely Death At UConn Residence Hall Not Considered Suspicious
UConn officials said preliminary indications are that an untimely death on campus is not suspicious.

STORRS, CT β A student died at a University of Connecticut housing complex Thursday, but the incident is not being treated as suspicious, authorities said.
Records show that UConn first responders were called to the North Residence area at 1:25 p.m. for a medical emergency. Responders were led to a room and a resident was then found unresponsive, UConn spokeswoman Stephanie Reitz said.
The student was taken to Windham hospital and pronounced dead a short time later, she said. The student's identity was not being released Friday morning.

Reitz said it seems a medical emergency resulted in the death of the student, but UConn officials said said an autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the State Medical Examiner.
Residential Life, Student Health & Wellness / Mental Health, Human Resources, and other university offices are coordinating services for those affected, Reitz said.
