MANSFIELD, CT — A Willimantic woman has been charged in connection with the theft of a sewing machine from a craft store over the winter, state police said.

The 39-year-old woman is facing a sixth-degree larceny charge.

According to a warrant, the incident took place on. Feb. 14.

Surveillance footage shows a woman wearing a jean jacket acting "very skittish" when she left the store with a bundle after passing the checkout area without paying and climbed into a getaway car, according to a warrant.

It turned out the bundle was a concealed Singer sewing machine valued at $209.99, according to a warrant.

The theft occurred at 8:22 p.m., according to a warrant.
