Water Company: Route 195 Paving Work Between UConn and Tolland to Last into Tuesday
The work is related to the Shenipsit pipeline project.

TOLLAND/MANSFIELD, CT — Connecticut Water Co. officials said to expect road work along a stretch of state Route 195 to last through Monday into Tuesday evening.
The road is a major pathway from Interstate-84 through Tolland to the University of Connecticut.
The work is related to the new pipeline between the Shenipsit Lake Reservoir and Mansfield and the University of Connecticut. Milling and final paving operations on Route 195 are scheduled for an area south of Walbridge Hill Road in Tolland and Jones Crossing Road in Coventry, Connecticut Water officials said. The work began at about 6 a.m. Monday, Connecticut Water officials said.

The work is expected to continue "uninterrupted" until it is completed on Tuesday evening, Connecticut Water officials said.

Delays should be expected because paving will be limited to one direction of Route 195 and traffic control personnel will be onsite, Connecticut Water officials said.
Final paving work on "other segments" of routes 195 and 44, where water main piping has been installed, will take place at a future date, and there are still some "off-road areas" like lawns and driveways "that need to be restored," Connecticut Water officials said.
The installation of the 5-mile water pipe between Tolland and Mansfield is complete and is expected to be in service this fall, Connecticut Water officials said.
