Wayward Package Grabbed by Wayward Thief in Mansfield
State police are looking for an opportunistic bandit.

MANSFIELD, CT β State police are looking for a thief who opportunistically scooped up a package delivered to the wrong address.
A resident of a Dartmouth Road housing complex told state police that on Aug. 21, she received word from UPS that a package from a computer supply outfit had been delivered. She returned home that day and did not see the package, state police said.
After several days off looking for the UPS driver, the resident was finally able to inquire about the package, police said.

It turned out that the package was left at the wrong address β and at a vacant unit to boot, state police said.
State police said they canvassed the complex and developed no leads. Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area is being asked to call state police at 860-896-3200.
