Weather Prompts UConn to Post Delay for Saturday in Storrs

STORRS, CT — The opening of the University of Connecticut’s Storrs campus will be delayed until 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, due to forecasts of wintry weather conditions in the morning, university officials said.

Exams scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Saturday will take place in the same locations at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, UConn officials said.

Exams slated to begin at 10 a.m. or later on Saturday will proceed as scheduled, UConn officials said.

Essential employees should follow their regular work schedule, UConn officials said. All other employees who are scheduled to work on Saturday at the Storrs campus should report to campus at 10 a.m., officials said.

Essential services such as public safety, residential dining halls, and others are not affected by the delay.

Operations at all other UConn campuses will remain on their regular schedule, officials said.
