Well-Expired Plate In Mansfield Leads State Cops To Stolen Goods
The recovery of hundreds worth of stolen merchandise from a Mansfield store started with a bad registration plate, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT β A registration plate that expired years ago led state police to stolen Merchandise worth hundreds of dollars and a subsequent arrest warrant.
At 5:40 p.m. on Oct 24, a state police trooper on duty noticed a gray BMW with no front plate exit an East Brook Mall parking area and eventually pulled it over on North Frontage Road, according to a warrant. The rear plate showed that the registration had expired more than five years ago, according to a warrant.
The trooper then noticed a large amount of "new-looking" merchandise inside the car, according to a warrant.

The driver, identified as Roslind Vega-Kish, 38, of Windham, then admitted to stealing the items from the local T.J. Maxx, according to a warrant.
The value of the items was placed at $576, according to. warrant.

In addition to pressing charges, store officials requested that she be banned from all T.J. Maxx stores, according to a warrant. She was charged with fifth-degree larceny and failure to display plates on one warrant and failure to appear in court on another warrant. On a third warrant, her charges included conveying unauthorized items.
