STORRS, CT — High winds from Friday's storm damaged a smokestack at the University of Connecticut's Agriculture Biotechnology Lab and forced authorities to evacuate the structure.
UConn officials said the building was closed at 10 a.m. Friday and will remain closed until further notice.
Students were advised to avoid the rear courtyard of the building until further notice.

"High winds have damaged a smokestack on the roof, creating the possibility that it could fall," according to an alert sent out Friday.
