Woman Suspected in East Brook Mall Incidents Snagged With Shrimp

MANSFIELD, CT — A woman who is a suspect in what state police are describing as "numerous" larcenies around the East Brook Mall area was recently caught stealing seafood and other groceries, an arrest report indicates.

Elizabeth Smith, 48, of whose listed address is Wychwood Road, Old Lyme, was arrested on a sixth-degree larceny charge Dec. 27, state police said in an arrest report.

She was caught that day taking $328 worth of shrimp, meal and dairy products from the Mansfield Big Y supermarket near the University of Connecticut, according to an arrest report.

State police said they are investigating other incidents she might be involved with.
