What: Join us at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum on Saturday, June 27, for the Strawberry Moon Living Exhibition – An Indigenous Song & Dance Market, hosted entirely on our Farmstead. Celebrate the season with sweet seasonal treats, Indigenous art and culture, and a family-friendly day filled with hands-on activities, a traditional clambake demonstration, and live song and dance.

This special event features live animals from Xen’s Critters and a Turtle Touch Tank presented by Mystic Aquarium, bringing the Farmstead to life and creating an immersive and welcoming experience for guests of all ages.

Highlights:

Meechoôk Farm Table – Seasonal produce, honey, eggs, maple syrup, strawberry plants, and more, plus information on Indigenous foodways from the MPTN Agricultural Department.

Native Artisans & Vendors Marketplace – Handcrafted artwork, jewelry, cultural items, and contemporary pieces created by Indigenous makers.

Traditional Clambake Demonstration – An authentic Northeast coastal clambake showcasing traditional Indigenous methods and ecological knowledge.

Farm Friends Petting Zoo & Mystic Aquarium Turtle Touch Tank – Featuring live animals from Xen’s Critters and hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages.

Strawberry Moon Treats – Early summer flavors and sweet seasonal delights inspired by the abundance of the season.

Arts & Crafts – Hands-on activities and take-home projects inspired by Eastern Woodland culture.

Art of Storytelling – Seasonal teachings and family-friendly stories celebrating the traditions of the Strawberry Moon.

Song & Dance on the Farmstead – Featuring Annawon Weeden and the Yootay Singers sharing stories and teachings through drum and song.

Corleon Beauty Perfume Oil Bar – Guests can create their own personalized fragrance blends in an interactive self-care experience.
