1 Injured In Shooting In Meriden: Police

A man was hospitalized after a shooting in Meriden, according to police.

MERIDEN, CT — One person was hospitalized after being shot Tuesday afternoon in Meriden, according to police.

Police responded around 4:25 p.m. to the 100 block of State Street on the report of a gunshot, according to Lt. Darrin McKay.

McKay said officers found a man who had been shot. He sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to an area medical facility for treatment, according to McKay.

“At this time investigators would like the public to know that there is no cause for concern with regard to additional danger to the general public as a result of the incident,” McKay wrote in a news release.
