19-Year-Old Killed In Rollover Crash In Meriden: Report

Yanilis Santiago of Middletown was driving when she lost control of her car and struck a tree, according to a report.

MERIDEN, CT — A Middletown woman died Saturday after she lost control of the car she was driving and struck a tree, according to a report.

Yanilis Santiago, 19, was driving on Research Parkway around 3 a.m. when the accident happened, NBC Connecticut reported. Her car rolled after it hit the tree, landing on its top and trapping Santiago inside, police told the news station.

Santiago later died at the hospital, the report said.
