2 Charged In String Of Commercial Burglaries In Meriden: Police

Police said two men are being charged in four commercial burglaries.

MERIDEN, CT — Two men are being charged in connection with a string of commercial robberies, according to a police Facebook post. Between Sept. 7 and Sept. 27, police said there were four similar commercial robberies.

On Sept. 27, the Ghazal Mart at 271 E. Main St. was robbed and police took two men into custody, Blake Raspardo, 22, and Joseph Torres, 20.

Raspardo was also charged in connection to robberies at Cumberland Farms at 1087 Old Colony Road, Colony Market at 640 Old Colony Road, and Burger King at 825 E. Main St.

In each of these incidents he was charged with first-degree robbery, first degree conspiracy to commit robbery, and other crimes.

Police said they are still waiting to serve the warrants on Torres.
