2 Charged In Theft Of $4.4K In Items From Ulta Beauty: Meriden Police

Two women have been arrested in connection with the theft of more than $4,400 worth of items from Ulta Beauty, according to police.

MERIDEN, CT — Two women have been arrested in connection with the theft of more than $4,400 worth of items from Ulta Beauty in June, according to police.

Police said $4,413 in items was stolen from Ulta Beauty at 533 South Broad Street in Meriden on June 28. The two female suspects left in a vehicle before officers responded, according to police.

On the same date, police said the Hartford Police Department found the vehicle used by the two suspects. Meriden police impounded the car, and a search and seizure warrant was issued to search the motor vehicle, where police said detectives recovered the stolen merchandise.

Police said the two suspects wore identifiable clothing during the theft that were also recovered in the vehicle.

Sheniece Morris, 31, was arrested July 17 on a warrant and charged with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. She was released after posting a $45,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 13, according to state judicial records.

Paige James, 30, was arrested Aug. 18 on a warrant and charged with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. She was being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond with a court date of Oct. 13.

“This investigation was successful due to the diligent work and cooperation of the Ulta Beauty Staff, Meriden Police Department’s Patrol Division, Detective Division, Hartford Police Department, and the prosecutors at CT GA-07,” police wrote in a news release. “We want to thank the outside agencies for their assistance in this investigation, as their hard work and dedication proved vital in obtaining a positive outcome and justice for those affected by these acts.”
