2 Injured After Head-On Crash In Meriden: Police
The driver of one of the cars was hospitalized in critical condition following the crash on Cook Avenue in Meriden, police said.

MERIDEN, CT — A head-on crash involving two vehicles resulted in serious injuries, police said.
At 10:36 p.m. on May 31 at 335 Cook Ave. a head-on crash was reported, police said. One of the drivers was found to have serious injuries.
"A 2008 Subaru Impreza was traveling north on Cook Ave when it collided head on into a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer that was heading south on Cook Ave," police said in a news release. "Both vehicle sustained heavy front end damage. The female driver of the Mountaineer was transported to MidState Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The male operator of the Impreza had serious life threatening injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital, he is listed in critical condition."

The Meriden Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation and Officer J. Vazquez is the primary investigator.
