2 Plymouth Residents Charged In Death Of Dog
A man and a woman are facing charges in the death of a dog in October.
PLYMOUTH, CT — Two Terryville residents were arrested recently after the death of a bull terrier dog, according to The Connecticut Post. The dog, named Zero, was found dead on the side of a road wrapped in bed sheets and had numerous scabs.
Christopher Torres, 33, and Harlee Janiak, 31, both of of Wood Court, were arrested Saturday. Torres was charged with killing/wounding an animal, providing a false statement, obstructing an animal control officer, and risk of injury to a minor.
Janiak faces charges of cruelty to animals and obstructing an animal control officer. Torres was held on $350,000 bond. Janiak's bond was set at $100,000, The Waterbury Republican-American reported.

The Post reported that during the investigation, police found that Torres had punched, kicked, and dragged the dog by the collar after it had an accident in the home.
