2 Reportedly Injured in SUV vs. House Crash in Meriden

The crash occurred Tuesday morning near the intersection of Broad and Wall streets.

MERIDEN, CT — A male driver and the female passenger in an SUV were hospitalized Tuesday morning after the vehicle smashed into a multi-family house in Meriden near the intersection of Broad and Wall streets, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.

The crash occurred at about 8 a.m., and the seriously injured driver was flown to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar. The passenger, also seriously injured, is being treated at MidState Medical Center. A portion of Wall Street was closed to allow accident reconstruction officials to investigate.

Five families live in the house, but no one inside suffered injuries. However, they have been temporarily displaced as a result of the crash, according to authorities.
