MERIDEN, CT — A 29-year-old pedestrian was killed overnight in a Meriden crash, according to police.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Route 15 near the Miller Avenue exit ramp, said state police, who identified the victim as Breanna Alexandria Rivera of Southington.

The crash took place after a Ford F-250 and a Hyundai Genesis were involved in a separate accident and became disabled in the left and right northbound travel lanes, according to police. The driver of the Genesis exited the vehicle and a Chevrolet Cruze going north in the left lane struck Rivera, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
