3 Men Arrested After Shots-Fired Call In Meriden: Police
Police have arrested three men following a shots-fired call Thursday night.
MERIDEN, CT — Police arrested three men after a shots-fired call was reported at 9:20 p.m. Thursday on Stoneycrest Drive. When police arrived and investigation, they found a car moving at an unusually slow rate of speed heading toward North Broad Street.
Officers stopped the car, which was occupied by four men. The driver, later identified as Markeese Thompson, was uncooperative and refused to identify himself and step out of the car multiple times, police said.
Another man in the car, Kobe Stringer, was found to have an active arrest warrant, according to police.

Police said they found a fully loaded five-shot Charter Arms .38 caliber revolver in the car, along with four spent .38 caliber shell casings. The gun was found behind the driver seat near Xavier Oliveira, the passenger sitting behind Thompson.
A small amount of marijuana and a scale were also found in the car, according to police.

Thompson, 20, of Meriden, was charged with weapons in a motor vehicle, interfering with a police officer, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $75,000 bond.
Oliveira, 18, of Meriden, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, weapons in a motor vehicle, and carrying a pistol without a permit. He was held on $50,000 bond.
Stringer, 20, of Meriden, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and sixth-degree larceny.
