Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Reach Out To Convey God's #MessiahHasCome

With rising tribulations, novel injustices, world engulfing wars, and heightened natural disasters humanity seems on the precipice of an armageddon unlike any other. Masses are fleeing organized religion wondering whether God has forgotten us or if God even exists. As a humble Ahmadiyya Muslim servant who ascends to meet my Maker five times a day, I feel it’s perhaps us who’ve lost spiritual sight of our Unseen Creator and grown numb to Its undying manifestations. Failed leadership, personal agendas, and infectious divisiveness has made religion, and anything associated with it, seem ugly and tasteless.

The spiritually wise, however, interpret these conditions along with our unprecedented scientific breakthroughs as ripened signs fulfilling scriptural prophecies. To those hoping salvation’s at hand with the coming of one Divinely promised through diverse Faiths, I have good news for you, as do my fellow Ahmadiyya Muslim siblings; the long-awaited Messiah has appeared and a revolution has already begun. He came in the person of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908), upon whom be peace and blessings, whose description is found in the Quran (61:7, 62:4) and the Bible (Isa. 42, John 14:16), as well as countless other holy Scriptures. Although there've been many claimants to Messiahship, Prophet Ahmad was and continues to be directly supported as the guided leader of our time by miraculous signs palpable in the heavens and the earth. Messiah Ahmad’s detailed revelations, for example, are finding fulfillment with such precision that even the youth who were once lost through frustration and hopelessness are beginning to believe and have righteous direction again. Among Messiah Ahmad’s remarkably accurate warnings were:

"Remember, God has informed me of many earthquakes. Rest assured, therefore, that as earthquakes have shaken America and Europe so will they shake Asia. Some of them will resemble the Day of Doom. So many people shall die that rivulets of blood shall flow. Even the birds and the beasts will not be immune against this death. A havoc shall sweep the surface of the earth which shall be the greatest since the birth of man. Habitations shall be demolished as if no one had ever lived in them. This will be accompanied by many other terrible calamities which the earth and the heavens will send forth, till their extraordinary nature will become evident to every reasonable man. All the literature of science and philosophy shall fail to show their like. Then mankind will be sorely distressed and wonder what is going to happen. Many shall escape and many perish. The days are near, in fact, I can see them close at hand, when the world shall witness a terrible sight. Not only earthquakes but also many fearsome calamities shall overtake man, some from the skies and some from the earth. This will happen because mankind have stopped worshipping their true God and have become lost in the affairs of the world with all their heart and their effort and their intent. If I had not come these afflictions would perhaps have been delayed a little. But with my coming the secret purposes of an affronted God which were hidden so far, became manifest. Says God: 'We never punish unless We send a Messenger.' Those who repent shall find security and those who fear before calamity overtakes them shall be shown mercy. Do you think you will be immune from these calamities? Or can you save yourselves through artifice or design? Indeed not. That day all human schemes shall fail. Think not that earthquakes visited America and other continents, but that your own country shall remain secure. Indeed, you may experience a greater hardship. O Europe, you are not safe and O Asia, you too, are not immune. And O dwellers of Islands, no false gods shall come to your rescue. I see cities fall and settlements laid waste. The One and the Only God kept silent for long. Heinous deeds were done before His eyes and He said nothing. But now He shall reveal His face in majesty and awe. Let him who has ears hear that the time is not far. I have done my best to bring all under the protection of God, but it was destined that what was written should come to pass. Truly do I say, that the turn of this land, too, is approaching fast. The times of Noah shall re-appear before your eyes and your own eyes will be witnesses to the calamity that overtook the cities of Lot. But God is slow in His wrath. Repent that you may be shown mercy! He who does not fear Him is dead not alive." (Haqiqatul Wahi, Ruhani Khaza’in, Vol. 22, pp. 268,269)

In addition to these proofs, Prophet Ahmad also did not meet with the destructive fate of false prophets outlined in Deut.18:20 and Quran 69:45 but lived a long noble life striving throughout to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice, and peace. This was his Jihad. He came to bring us back to our Ever-Living Source and to each other in “love for all, hatred for none”. He came not to be praised but to anoint us as Messianic healers for the world.

Like his predecessors Prophet Muhammad and Messiah Jesus son of Mary, peace and blessings be upon them, Messiah Ahmad wasn’t schooled in prestigious seminaries but was taught by God and himself schooled aristocrats amassing mostly the marginalized as followers. He didn't solicit any reward for his services but himself distributed wealth desiring nothing but the unveiled Truth. He wasn’t born with a halo atop his head or coveting fleeting authority from men, but himself hailed from humble beginnings, like you and me, and became heavenly chosen for his unrivaled righteousness. He wasn’t intimidated by imposters or scholars but himself fearlessly enriched and empowered seekers reforming them to reflect him. As he writes:

“But the age of the Promised Messiah has a unique characteristic, which is that in the scriptures of earlier Prophets and in Ahadith it is recorded that at the time of advent of the Promised Messiah, the spread of spiritual light will reach a degree that women will also receive revelations, children will be able to prophesy and common people will speak with the power of the Holy Spirit. All this will be a reflection of the spirituality of the Promised Messiah.” (Darurat-ul-Imam, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 13, pp. 474-475)

It was on March 23rd, 1889 that Messiah Ahmad began building the metaphysical ark of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community after repeated Divine revelations. Today, it’s the world's fastest growing sect in Islam and any religion and is among the oldest and largest Muslim organizations in America. Tomorrow, on our Community’s 129th anniversary, I’ll join our youth in 12 locales nationwide, including Hartford, Connecticut, in launching the "#MessiahHasCome" educational outreach. In preparation, we unite today in increased prayers and a national fast.

Auspiced under Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Fifth Successor of Messiah Ahmad, and patroned by our national Missionary-In-Charge, Imam Azhar Haneef, my Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association will host bridge-building symposiums throughout Universities and take to neighborhoods across America.
