• Former Wells Fargo Building Sold In Meriden (patch.com) — Meriden residents may notice changes coming to 55 Centennial Avenue, where a former Wells Fargo branch has been sold for $615,000 and will be partially converted into a laundromat. The 6,000-square-foot building, jointly brokered by The Proto Group and Press|Cuozzo Realtors, marks a notable reuse of a prominent local commercial site.    

• Meriden Student Wins Whitey Piurek ‘No ‘I’ In Team’ Award (patch.com) — Meriden baseball fans can cheer for Platt High School’s Tyler Cioffi, who will be honored with the John “Whitey” Piurek “There’s No ‘I’ in Team” Award at the Southern Connecticut Diamond Club’s June 14 banquet. The event recognizes unselfish, team-first players from 34 area high schools and supports local baseball programs through its proceeds.    

• Meriden man, 39, charged in sexual assault of juvenile in North Branford, police say (thehour.com) — Police say a 39-year-old Meriden resident has been charged in connection with the reported sexual assault of a juvenile in North Branford, following an investigation that began in April 2025. The suspect was arrested on a warrant, arraigned in New Haven, and is being held on bond with another court date set for mid-June.
