MERIDEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced a traffic shift to the right on Route 15 northbound onto the newly constructed portion of the Route 15 northbound Bridge over I-91, south of East Main Street, during Stage two construction (the left side) of the bridge.
The shift will continue northward and direct traffic to Route 15 northbound, I-691 westbound, I-91 northbound, and Route 66 eastbound will begin on Wednesday, June 10, according to officials.
“Signs will be posted, and lanes will be marked with the route-identifying shields to help guide motorists into the proper lanes and keep them on their desired routes,” officials wrote in an advisory.

DETOUR/LANE SHIFT INFO
Traffic will be shifted onto the newly constructed portion of the Route 15 northbound bridge over I-91 and will continue northward to the Exit 65A and Exit 65B area. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
Motorists should be aware that modifications to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
