Convicted Felon Arrested On Gun, Drug Charges After Foot Chase: Meriden PD (patch.com) — Meriden police arrested a convicted felon Monday after a foot chase at a local apartment complex, recovering a stolen gun, high-capacity magazine and narcotics. Officials say the case began with an August bullet-hole investigation and emphasize they'll aggressively target illegal guns and drug dealing in Meriden to protect residents and visitors.

Officers say public complaints about dangerous nets prompted the crackdown and remind residents to report suspected fish and wildlife violations to DEEP's 24-hour line.
