2. Former Executive Director Of Meriden Housing Authority Arrested: Feds (patch.com) — Meriden readers are learning that the former executive director of the Meriden Housing Authority, who also led Groton's authority, has been federally indicted on fraud and money laundering charges tied to a multimillion-dollar loan. Prosecutors allege he improperly borrowed $16.2 million in the names of Meriden-related entities without board approval and then routed some of the money to personal investments and his home mortgage, while also using Groton housing funds to help service the debt.
3. Connecticut Police Standards and Training Council reviews automated cameras, technology (wtnh.com) — State police standards leaders met in Meriden to tighten rules on automated license plate readers, drones, and other surveillance tools, including shorter data retention and more frequent audits.
