Armed Robber Hits Meriden Gas Station

Police are investigating after a man robbed a gas station Friday morning.

MERIDEN, CT — Police are searching for a suspect wanted in the armed robbery of a Meriden gas station. Police received a call at 6:20 a.m. Friday regarding a robbery at H&H Gas Station at 1015 Broad St.

A clerk inside the store had been robbed by a man armed with a knife. Police said the suspect was described as a black man wearing a black coat and a blue knit hat. He was wearing blue sneakers which had white trim around the base of the sneakers. He was carrying a tan satchel type bag and also had visible tattoos on his neck as well as a tear drop tattoo under his left eye.

The man fled on foot southbound on Broad Street and was last seen possibly running onto Atkins Street.

There were no injuries as a result of this incident and this is an active police investigation.
