Bank Robbed In Meriden: Police
Police are investigating after a bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon in Meriden.
MERIDEN, CT — Liberty Bank on East Main Street in Meriden was robbed on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
Police responded to the bank, located at 825 East Main Street, around 12:50 p.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting the robbery, according to Sgt. Michael Boothroyd.
The first-arriving officers arrived at the scene about two-and-a-half minutes after dispatch and the suspect had already left, according to Boothroyd.

Boothroyd said no customers or employees were injured.
The suspect was described as a man wearing a surgical face mask, a blue-hooded sweatshirt and a gray T-shirt over the top. The man entered the bank, demanded money and left with an undetermined about of money, according to Boothroyd.

The man then left in a gray vehicle toward the Liberty Street area, Boothroyd said.
The Meriden Police Department is asking anyone who has cameras on the outside of their homes in the Liberty Street and surrounding areas to check to see if their cameras may have captured the suspect vehicle.
