Beloved Meriden Ice Cream Shop To Close After Season

A local landmark will close at the end of the summer season.

MERIDEN, CT — The owner of Les' Dairy Bar has announced that the shop will close at the end of the season. The landmark shop on East Main Street been in operation for 36 years, according to The Meriden Record-Journal.

"Giving up Les' has been a challenging decision," a Facebook post from Les' reads. "I have put my heart and soul into it for many years, and it feels as though I am cutting off a limb. It will be difficult to drive by and see it empty or in someone else’s hands."

Owner Deb DiGiandomenico said she will finish off this season. She has received several offers from potential buyers.
