Best Buy Closing Doors in Meriden Will Leave 60 Unemployed

The store's closing was explained as a real estate decision.

Best Buy is closing its store in the Westfield Meriden shopping mall, the New Haven Register reports.

According to the Hartford Courant, a manager for the store said the closing was a real estate decision and not a decision based on sales.

The store which is set to close on Nov. 1 will leave 60 full-time and part-time employees out of a job, the Register reports. The closing was timed to allow those losing their jobs to find positions at other Best Buy locations or at other retailers.
