A Meriden resident bought the winning ticket at a business in the city, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden resident recently won $10,000 on a lottery ticket that was sold in Meriden, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The resident won $10,000 on a Play4 Day ticket that was sold at Checkers Food Store at 73 Pratt St. in Meriden, according to Lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scam, according to officials.
