The big win came on a scratch ticket, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden resident recently won $25,000 on a scratch ticket that was sold in the city, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The resident won $25,000 on a Lucky Loot ticket that was sold at Quik – Pik at 692 East Main St. in Meriden, according to Lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
