Blood Drive To Be Held In Meriden
The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive in Meriden on Saturday, Feb. 3.
MERIDEN, CT — A blood drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Meriden.
The American Red Cross has declared an emergency blood shortage, with the lowest number of blood donors in the past 20 years, according to officials.
“This shortage poses a significant threat to the nation's blood supply,” according to a news release. “It is essential to maintain adequate life-saving products on our shelves to meet any emergency.”
