No Foul Play in Initial Investigation into Deceased Man Pulled from Meriden Pond

MERIDEN, CT — Emergency personnel Tuesday pulled a dead man from a pond between Yale Avenue and Westwood Knolls in Meriden, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
The preliminary investigation appears to indicate that there was no foul play in connection with the discovery, and while police have identified the man they have not yet released his name, pending notification of next of kin.
Further details of the incident were not immediately available, but the incident occurred just after 1 p.m. when authorities were called to the scene on a report of a body seen floating in the pond.
