Bomb Threat Investigated At Business In Meriden: Police

Police are investigating a report of a bomb threat at a business in Meriden.

MERIDEN, CT — Police are investigating a report of a bomb threat at a business in Meriden.

An employee at the call center for Jonal Labs received a call Thursday morning from an anonymous caller who indicated that there was a bomb in the building, according to police.

“The caller then hung up the phone without giving any other details,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The Police and Fire Department were immediately dispatched and are currently on scene investigating. Since ‘Jonal Labs’ have locations at 456 Center Street as well as 290 Pratt Street, both buildings are being checked. The Connecticut State Police are also assisting with a K-9 building search at this time.

“At the time of this post, the Center Street location has been checked and there does not appear to be any evidence of a bomb present. At this time emergency services are still present at the 290 Pratt Street location.”
